Coach Pitch (Ages 7-10)

Program Description:

Players learn sport FUN-damentals of batting and fielding with their own coach as the pitcher! We offer a convenient, same day practice then play experience on Sunday afternoons at a neighborhood nearest you.

Late Registration will be available after the deadline until all teams are full and will incur an additional $10 fee.

Each session includes a 30 minute practice and a 30 minute game followed by the parent spirit tunnel and team snacks.

Time of Play

Exact time of play is dependent upon the number of participants registered in each age group and may vary between neighborhood locations.  League schedules with playing times will be sent out via e-mail to all registered participants along with your team roster at least 2 weeks prior to Session 1.

Additional Information

  • EQUIPMENT- LASOAR, with the help of our sponsors, will provide, coach pitch balls, bats, bases, and 5 helmets per team. Please note that all helmets will be shared. Personal helmets may be purchased, if preferred.

  • UNIFORMS – LASOAR will provide a team t-shirt. Players are expected to wear comfortable shorts or pants (any color) and athletic shoes which lace or Velcro. Cleats are NOT required. If you choose to purchase cleats, they must be plastic. No metal cleats will be allowed.

  • COACHES - LASOAR invites parents of players to volunteer to coach (no t-ball experience necessary, some experience working with youth is helpful). We also hire and seek volunteers/interns from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette to coach/assist our parent volunteers. Interested in helping out? Email

  • SNACKS - LASOAR utilizes to organize snack sign ups. A snack sign up link will be sent out via e-mail at least 2 weeks prior to Session 1. Sign up is voluntary and much appreciated! Please respect your LASOAR Neighborhood Sports host location as a nut-free environment as some children may have a nut allergy.
